01In plain English

You upload a sample of someone speaking, and the tool builds a synthetic voice that sounds like them. Short samples give a rough copy; longer, clean recordings give a closer one.

02Why it matters when you are choosing

It lets creators and companies produce voice-overs and translations in a consistent voice without recording every line. It also raises consent and misuse questions, so reputable tools ask for proof you have the right to the voice.
