How it works
Add a tool by name, or press the $ button on any tool card or review as you browse. Tools are grouped by the job they do, so two that do the same thing sit side by side, with a button to compare them. Each tool starts on its first paid plan. Pick the plan you are on, switch to yearly billing where the vendor offers it, and set the number of seats for team plans. If your bill is different from the list price, because of tax, a discount or an app store price, type what you pay and that figure is used.
Before you cancel anything, check the renewal date, export the chats and files you want to keep, and read the plan's refund terms. Our reviews list what each plan includes, so you can see what you would lose by dropping to a cheaper one.
Questions
Where do the prices come from?
Each plan price is read from the vendor's own pricing page and rechecked with our reviews. Prices are US list prices before tax. Euro and pound plans are converted at a fixed rate. If you pay something different, type it in the 'I pay' box and the total uses your figure.
Can I see the total in my own currency?
Yes. Pick your currency above the list; the calculator starts on the one your browser language suggests. The amounts are converted from US prices at a fixed rate we update with our price checks, so treat them as an estimate. Many tools set their own prices per country and add VAT or sales tax, so your bill can be higher or lower. Type what you are charged in the 'I pay' box, in your currency, for an exact total.
How is my list saved?
In your browser's own storage on this device (local storage, not a cookie). It is never sent to SaaSInspector and there is no account. Come back in the same browser and your stack is still here.
What if I clear my browser or switch devices?
Clearing cookies and site data, or using a private window, deletes the list, and it does not follow you to another phone or computer. To keep it, press 'Copy save link' and bookmark the link or email it to yourself. The whole list, with your plans, billing and prices, is in that link, so opening it brings everything back on any device.
What counts as two tools doing the same job?
Every tool we score belongs to one kind, such as AI assistants or AI meeting assistants. When you pay for two or more of the same kind, the calculator points it out, because most people only need one. Free plans are left out of that check.
Why is a tool not counted?
Some plans have no published price (enterprise and custom plans), and some charge per credit, per use or once. Those have no fixed monthly bill, so they stay out of the total until you type what they cost you a month.
How is the yearly saving worked out?
For each plan billed monthly that also has a cheaper yearly price, the calculator takes the difference and multiplies it by twelve. A yearly plan is paid up front, so check the renewal date and refund terms before you switch.
