Why these numbers

Languages it transcribes: The same article says the retired Chrome Extension and Bots used to support 63 languages, but that is explicitly deprecated as of April 2, 2026, so the current, smaller figure (7) is used.

Meeting apps it records: Counted from meeting_platforms. The same article adds Discord and WhatsApp as also auto-detected, but those have no matching enum option here. No mention of Webex was found.

Keeps the meeting video: Video and audio recording (playback) were retired along with the bot on March 2, 2026; only live transcription/notes remain, not a saved recording.

Records in-person meetings: Also available via mobile web capture, per the separate 'Capturing in-person Mobile conversations' article.

Cuts and shares clips: Checked the notetaker and post-meeting-features pages for 'clip'/'highlight'; none found. Video recording itself was also retired (see video_recording), which would rule out video clips specifically.

Talk time and coaching insights: Checked the pricing page and post-meeting-features help collection for talk-time, speaker ratio, scorecard or deal-insight language; none found.

Why these numbers

Where it runs: Counted from platforms. In-person/mobile capture works through Supernormal Web in a mobile browser ('Capturing in-person Mobile conversations... via Supernormal Web on your mobile device'), not a native iOS/Android app, so ios/android are not recorded.

API: Dedicated developer documentation (Mintlify) covering user, calendar, recordings and transcript endpoints, authenticated via an API key created in account settings.

Apps it connects to: Counted from integrations. Only 5 integrations are currently listed on the integrations page, despite filter categories (CRM, Task Management, Team Collaboration) suggesting more; a help center update article notes 'Select integrations' were retired around March 2026 alongside the bot/extension.

Free plan: No credit card required; explicitly 'free forever'.

AI on the cheapest paid plan: The meeting notetaker itself is free/unmetered on every tier; the AI agent (deliverable generation) is credit-based on both Free and Team, with Team removing the daily cap rather than the credit system itself.

Why these numbers

Tells participants it is recording: This notification goes to the Supernormal user/host only, not to other meeting participants; no participant-facing consent notice, prompt, or stop-recording control was found in the capture-preferences or desktop-capture help articles.

Ways to reach support: Counted from support_channels. Checked pricing and security pages for chat/phone support; none found, only a help center and email contact.

How the Spec Score works

Scored from what Supernormal publishes on its own site. Not a hands-on test.

Compared with 17 AI meeting assistants. Facts checked 21 Sep 2026.

A fact the vendor does not publish gets half the points, or the typical value for a number, and says so. It never counts as a no. How we score.

Supernormal is a free, bot-free meeting notetaker for Mac and Windows that also generates presentations, images and spreadsheets from what it captures. It has no video or audio recording, and transcription currently covers seven languages, so what decides whether it suits you is whether bot-free capture and a credit-based deliverable system fit your workflow better than a full recording archive.

What is Supernormal?

Supernormal today leads with AI agents for agencies, turning meeting context into slides, documents, spreadsheets and images on a shared credit system; its meeting notetaker remains the free, bot-free capture layer underneath. The company has retired its meeting bot, Chrome extension and video recording entirely.

Supernormal runs as a free desktop app for Mac and Windows, plus a web app; in-person conversations can be captured through Supernormal Web on a mobile browser rather than a native mobile app.

What Supernormal captures from a meeting

Supernormal captures meetings without a bot joining the call, picking up audio directly from your computer instead. It automatically detects online meetings in Google Meet, Zoom, Teams and Slack Huddles, and can also capture in-person conversations through the desktop mic or through Supernormal Web on a mobile browser.

Transcription currently covers seven languages: English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Swedish and Portuguese. There is no video or audio recording; only live notes and a transcript are produced. There is no CRM sync and no clip or highlight feature.

Agents can be pointed at a single meeting or at a group of past meetings when generating a deliverable, so you can ask across meetings rather than only within one. There is no participant-facing recording consent notice; a capture notification appears only to the Supernormal user.

Working with other people

Team and Business plans support unlimited seats sharing one credit pool. Supernormal connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Linear and Google Drive, and a REST API is available for custom integrations. An MCP server lets other AI assistants connect to your captured meetings. Single sign-on is on the Business plan.

Supernormal pricing: what each plan gives

Supernormal pricing screenshot
Supernormal, Pricing

The Free plan is free forever and gives 5 daily credits and 15 monthly credits, the bot-free meeting notetaker, generation of presentations, images and spreadsheets, unlimited projects and MCP access to connect other tools.

Team costs €22 a month, billed annually, a flat price for unlimited seats sharing 50 credits a month with no daily limit, and credits roll over to the following month. Business costs €44 a month, billed annually, and adds single sign-on, audit logs, data retention controls, and member visibility and admin controls.

There is no free trial of a paid plan; the ongoing Free plan is the way to try Supernormal before subscribing.

Privacy and security

Supernormal is SOC 2 audited and GDPR compliant, with EU data rights including access, portability and erasure. It supports HIPAA compliance and will sign a Business Associate Agreement for teams handling protected health information. Single sign-on is on the Business plan.

Support runs through email and a help center.

Who Supernormal suits

Supernormal suits people who want a free, bot-free way to capture meeting notes without a visible recorder joining the call, and who also want AI agents that can turn those meetings into slides, documents or spreadsheets.

It suits less well anyone who needs a saved video or audio recording, since that was retired with no plans to bring it back, or anyone working in a language outside the seven currently supported.
