Rows is an AI data analyst built around a spreadsheet grid, pulling data from databases, ad platforms and other tools to analyze inside familiar rows and columns. It has a permanent free plan with no trial required, so what decides whether it suits you is how much AI analysis, file size and collaboration you need before its paid plans are worth it.

What is Rows?
Rows is a spreadsheet and AI data analyst, now part of Superhuman. It runs in the browser and can be installed as a Progressive Web App on desktop or mobile.
Analysing data with Rows
Rows imports CSV and Excel files, Google Sheets, PDFs and other data, and connects directly to databases and warehouses including Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, MySQL, PostgreSQL and BigQuery.
Data lives in an elastic grid: rows and columns can be added with the arrow keys, and data can be sorted, filtered and formatted with conditional formatting. Rows also offers a set of chart types for visualizing the data once it is in the grid. Its AI Analyst runs on a mix of OpenAI's GPT-4o models, Llama and other models, updated as new ones come out.
Data Tables can be set to automate on a schedule: once a day on Plus, or as often as once a minute on Pro. Finished work can be shared through Embed or Live mode; embeds are branded on Free and Plus, and unbranded from Pro up.
File import size is capped at 1 MB on Free, 5 MB on Plus, and 100 MB on Pro and Enterprise.
Working with other people
Rows integrates with Notion, Gmail, HubSpot, Google Sheets, and ad and analytics platforms including Facebook Ads, Instagram, Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn Pages, Google Search Console, Facebook Pages, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube and TikTok, plus bank account connections.
A shared workspace covers shared files, shared threads, a usage dashboard, centralized billing and audit logs. Guest access is capped at 3 people on Free and 10 on Plus.
A metered Rows API is available from the Free plan up, starting at 500 calls a month and rising by plan; the Enterprise plan adds custom API endpoints.
Rows pricing: what each plan gives

Free costs $0, with 5 AI Tasks a month, manual data imports, 10 connected accounts and up to 3 guests. There is no trial period and no credit card is required to use it.
Plus costs $8 a month ($6 a month billed yearly) per user, with 200 AI Tasks a month.
Pro costs $79 a month ($59 a month billed yearly) as a base fee, plus $8 a month ($6 a month billed yearly) per user, with 1,000 AI Tasks a month.
Enterprise pricing is available on request, with unlimited AI Tasks.
Privacy and security
Rows does not use customer data to train its AI models. It is SOC 2 Type II certified and audited every year. It is GDPR compliant, answers to the German data protection authorities, and has an external GDPR adviser as its Data Protection Officer.
SAML single sign-on is on the Enterprise plan.
Support includes email on every plan, priority chat on Plus, video support on Pro, and a dedicated customer success manager on Enterprise, alongside a community and a help center.
Who Rows suits
Rows suits people who want to pull data from databases, ad platforms and other tools into a spreadsheet and analyze it with AI inside the same grid. It also suits anyone who wants to start free with no card, and teams that need a SOC 2 Type II certified tool.
It suits less well anyone who needs more than a handful of AI Tasks a month without paying for Pro, or anyone importing files larger than 5 MB before reaching the Pro plan's 100 MB limit. Guest collaboration is also tight below Pro, at 3 people on Free and 10 on Plus.
