Julius AI is a cloud-based AI data analyst that runs real code against your files, databases and warehouses, then turns the results into charts, reports, presentations and other outputs. It has a free plan with a small monthly allowance and paid plans priced per seat with rising credit limits, so what decides whether it suits you is how much analysis you need each month and whether you need SOC 2 compliance or single sign-on.

What is Julius?
Julius is an AI data analyst headquartered in San Francisco, United States. It runs real code against uploaded files, connected databases and data warehouses, then turns the results into presentations, reports, websites, images and video.
Julius runs in the browser, and the code it runs executes in a hosted sandbox rather than on your own device.
Analysing data with Julius
Julius takes data from uploaded files such as spreadsheets, CSVs, PDFs and text documents, alongside direct connections to Postgres, BigQuery, Snowflake, MySQL, SQL Server and Supabase. Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint are also supported as data connectors.
Paid plans add unlimited charts, along with exportable presentations, reports, websites, images and video generated from the analysis. Every insight comes with the underlying code Julius used to reach it, so you can see how it reached each result.
Scheduled Runs let Julius repeat an analysis on a recurring basis: three runs a month on Plus, and unlimited on Pro and Business. Finished reports can be edited after they generate and shared with a link.
There is no enforced limit on file size. In practice, uploads are limited by what fits in the 32 GB of RAM in the analysis sandbox.
Working with other people
Julius connects to Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft SharePoint, Slack, Google Ads and Meta Ads, in addition to its database connectors. The higher plans add a shared workspace with shared files, shared threads, a usage dashboard, centralized billing and audit logs, and Business allows up to 50 team members.
The Enterprise plan adds API access for custom business workflows, including advanced API endpoints.
Julius pricing: what each plan gives

Free costs $0 a month and uses Julius Lite models, with up to 5 messages a month on Julius's most advanced model.
Plus costs $20 a month ($16 a month billed yearly) per seat, with one seat included. It adds Julius models, GPT-5.6 and Claude Sonnet 5, with 2,000 credits a month that refresh daily.
Pro costs $45 a month ($37 a month billed yearly) per seat, with 5,000 credits a month and access to all models, including Claude Fable 5. Max costs $200 a month ($166 a month billed yearly) per seat, with 25,000 credits a month. Business costs $450 a month ($375 a month billed yearly), with 60,000 credits a month and room for up to 50 team members. Enterprise pricing is available on request for teams of more than 50 people.
Privacy and security
Julius does not use customer data to train its AI models, and no information is shared between customers. Julius is SOC 2 Type II and TX-RAMP compliant, and in the plans, SOC 2 Type II compliance comes with Pro and up, not Free or Plus. Single sign-on is on the Business plan.
Support runs through a help center on every plan, with chat and email support from Plus, priority support on Pro, and tailored onboarding on Business.
Who Julius suits
Julius suits people who need to analyze data from files, databases or warehouses without writing their own code, and who want to see the code behind each result. It also suits teams that need scheduled, recurring analysis and shareable reports, provided they are on a paid plan with enough monthly credits.
It suits less well anyone who needs SOC 2 compliance or single sign-on on a lower-cost plan, since both require Pro or Business. It also suits less well anyone expecting more than occasional access to Julius's most advanced model on the free plan, which allows only 5 messages a month at that tier.
