Felo is an AI search engine that answers questions from the live web with numbered sources, and it has grown into a credit-based workspace that also makes research reports, slides, images and video. What decides whether it suits you is whether free cited search is enough, or whether you want the creation tools and the full model lineup that come with a Pro plan paid for in credits.

What is Felo?
Felo is made by Felo Inc., a company based in Tokyo, Japan. It runs in the browser on Felo's servers, and its interface comes in 18 languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Polish and Arabic.
Search is the core of the product and is free. Around it, Felo has added a Research Agent, AI Slides, AI Designer for images, video generation, Voice Note for recording and transcribing speech into notes, and LiveDoc canvases where documents, files and AI agents sit together.
Searching with Felo
When you ask Felo a question, it searches the internet in real time and writes an answer. Each answer includes numbered footnotes that link to the original sources, so every claim can be traced back to the page it came from. The free plan includes unlimited high-speed search.
For text, Felo uses other companies' models: GPT-6 Astra, Claude Fable and Grok 4.6. Pro unlocks the full lineup, while the free plan has limited use of the advanced models. The lineup changes as new models launch.
Research, X Research and custom agents
Deep Research, X Research and Custom Agents are on Pro. The Research Agent turns a question into a research report and costs 150 credits a run. Felo's agents can also turn a prompt into slides, web pages and documents.
Files, images and video
Felo reads TXT, Word and PDF files up to 25 MB and keeps the file's content in context as the conversation goes on. The free plan allows 3 file analyses a day.
Image generation and AI editing cost 50 credits an image and use Nano Banana Pro, GPT-Image 2.5 and Grok Imagine 2.0. Video uses Gemini Veo 3.1 and Grok Imagine Video, and audio uses ElevenLabs and GPT-Realtime. AI Slides, AI Designer, custom agents and video are not on the free plan.
LiveDoc canvases
LiveDoc is Felo's project space. A canvas keeps documents, files and AI agents together, works as a knowledge base and is meant to carry a project from first idea to finished work in one place.
Working with other people
Team members can edit the same LiveDoc canvas at the same time, with AI agents working on it alongside them. Felo Enterprise adds team member management and single sign-on.
Pro includes access to the Felo API, which offers ready-to-use APIs for Search, PPT, SuperAgent, LiveDoc, Web Fetch, X Search, Mindmap and more; the LLM Model API and the Data API are not included, and the free plan has no API access. Through Felo's skills and API, the coding agents Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent can call Felo's search, research, presentation, X intelligence and page tools.
Felo pricing: what each plan gives

The free Standard plan costs nothing and needs no credit card. It gives unlimited high-speed search, 3 file analyses a day and limited use of the advanced models, without AI Slides, AI Designer, custom agents, video or the API.
- Pro is $14.99 a month, or $149.99 a year ($12.50 a month). It gives 15,000 credits a month plus 200 bonus credits a day, every model and tool, and the Felo API. 15,000 credits come to about 300 AI images, up to 500 slide pages or about 100 deep research tasks. When the credits run out, Pro still allows 300 Pro searches a day.
- Enterprise Premium is $49 per seat a month, or $468 a year ($39 a month).
- Enterprise Ultimate is $79 per seat a month, or $780 a year ($65 a month).
Extra credits can be bought on top of a plan. Pro is an individual subscription, and the Enterprise plans are priced per seat.
Privacy and security
For Felo Enterprise, Felo puts it plainly: "We do not use enterprise customer data to train our AI models." Felo runs an information security management system (ISMS) and does not hold SOC 2. Users in the EEA and the UK have access, deletion and other rights over their personal information, and single sign-on comes with Felo Enterprise.
Support runs through a help center, an email contact for account problems and a community on Discord.
Who Felo suits
Felo suits people who want a free AI search engine with numbered sources on every answer, and who may later want to turn that research into slides, images, video or a shared document without leaving the same tool. Pro suits individuals who want GPT-6 Astra, Claude Fable and Grok 4.6 in one place, plus an API their coding agents can call. Teams that edit together get live LiveDoc canvases, and companies that need single sign-on get it on Enterprise.
It suits less well heavy file users on the free plan, which allows 3 file analyses a day and leaves out AI Slides, AI Designer, video and the API. On Pro, everything draws from one pool of credits, and a single Research Agent run costs 150 of them. Organisations that need a SOC 2 report will not find one.
