Best X and LinkedIn growth tools under $30

3 picks

These tools write and recycle posts for personal brands, and the entry plans buy different things. Hypefury's single plan schedules for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads and Bluesky with an AI generator trained on your own posts. Tweet Hunter's entry plan is X only, built around a viral tweet library. Re-engage sells credits that turn videos and articles into posts, and it does not schedule.

#1Hypefury: Best for personal brands on LinkedIn, Threads and Bluesky

One plan at a low monthly price buys unlimited scheduling, an AI generator trained on your own posts, autoplugs, cross-posting and analytics for a single channel, after a 7-day trial with no card. It posts to LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads and Bluesky. Analytics stay shallow and it is not built for agencies or teams. Pick it over Tweet Hunter when your audience lives on LinkedIn, Threads or Bluesky.

  • Autoplugs feature automatically posts a pre-written first comment on your own content after it goes live, saving time for creators promoting newsletters or offers.
  • Unlimited scheduling across all connected channels, allowing creators to plan a full week of content in a single session.
  • Analytics are shallow and not suitable for anyone needing advanced reporting beyond basic post-level engagement metrics.

#2Tweet Hunter: Best for X-only growth with a viral tweet library

Discover: 1 X account, 12M+ viral tweets library, scheduling, evergreen tweets, 3,000 Auto-DMs/month, full analytics

Discover is for one X account: a library of 12M+ viral tweets, scheduling, evergreen tweets, 3,000 Auto-DMs a month and full analytics, after a 7-day trial. The AI writer and X CRM arrive only on Grow, which costs more than this page's price. Pick it over Hypefury for X-only growth, and skip it if you post anywhere else, since it supports no other network.

  • The viral tweet library indexes over 12 million tweets by topic or handle, giving creators a large-scale resource for content inspiration in their niche.
  • All-in-one X platform combining scheduling, AI writing, analytics, CRM, and Auto-DM automation in a single tool.
  • Tweet Hunter is X-only with no multi-platform support, making it a poor fit for creators who manage other social channels.

#3Re-engage: Best for turning videos and articles into LinkedIn and X posts

Standard gives 80 credits a month, where one credit covers a thread, a long post or three short posts. There is no scheduling or analytics, so you publish elsewhere, and support is email only. Premium raises the credits, not the transcript length. Pick it over Hypefury when you start from a video, article or newsletter instead of a blank page.

  • Focused content repurposing engine converts YouTube URLs, articles, and newsletters into LinkedIn posts and Twitter threads in just three steps.
  • The tool is straightforward to use with a simple input-generate workflow that requires no learning curve.
  • No post scheduling built in, meaning users must pay for and manage a separate tool like Buffer to publish what Re-engage generates.

Best AI social media management tools under $30

12 picks

At this price a scheduler sells profiles, posts and AI credits in different mixes. Buffer charges per channel, Publer and Metricool keep paid plans close to their free ones, and ContentStudio, SocialBee, Later, Ocoya, FeedHive, Plann, Flick and Circleboom sell bundles of profiles. Pick Publer for low cost, ContentStudio for the biggest credit pot, Later for influencer work, Flick for Instagram hashtags.

#4ContentStudio: Best for the largest AI credit pot for text and video

7.7Score 7.7 out of 10

Standard buys 5 social accounts, one workspace and one user with 25,000 AI text credits plus image, video and clipping credits, a large AI pot for the price, after a 7-day trial with no card. It reaches ten networks and includes a social inbox. CSV bulk scheduling and Facebook and Instagram competitor tracking wait on Advanced. Pick it over SocialBee when AI images and video clips matter.

  • Unlimited post scheduling is included across all plans, which outperforms most competitors at this price tier.
  • Feature depth is genuinely strong, combining social media management, AI content creation, scheduling, and analytics in one platform.
  • Bulk scheduling via CSV upload is locked behind the Advanced plan (starting at $69 a month, $49 billed yearly), frustrating teams who need it from day one.

#5Metricool: Best for several brands with competitor tracking

Past the free plan's single brand, the Starter plans cover up to 5 brands with unlimited publishing, 100 competitors and unlimited analytics history, with up to 10 brands a step higher. Looker Studio and team features wait for Advanced, and the Hashtag Tracker is a separate add-on. Pick it over Publer when reporting and competitor tracking count for more than the lowest possible cost.

  • Single dashboard covers scheduling, analytics, ads management, and link-in-bio without requiring multiple subscriptions.
  • The free tier is genuinely usable, offering one brand, 20 posts per month, 30 days of analytics history, and five competitor profiles.
  • The Hashtag Tracker is a separate add-on rather than included in standard paid plans, adding potential extra cost.

#6Publer: Best for cheap scheduling across many networks

Professional lifts the free plan's three accounts with X, unlimited scheduling, drafts and media storage, workspaces and RSS automations, while Business adds analytics, best times, competitor and hashtag tools and unlimited AI prompts. Analytics sit behind Business, so Professional gives no performance data. Pick it as the cheapest scheduler here for many networks, ahead of Buffer once the channel count climbs.

  • Publer's Professional plan starts at just $5 a month, making it one of the most affordable real social schedulers on the market.
  • The free plan is genuinely functional, offering three social accounts and ten scheduled posts per account at no cost.
  • X/Twitter is not available on the free tier, which is a notable omission for users who rely on that platform.

#8Buffer: Best for a few channels on per-channel pricing

Essentials is priced per channel and includes unlimited posts and ideas, advanced analytics, a hashtag manager and first-comment scheduling beyond the free three channels, with a 14-day trial. Team adds unlimited team members and content approval, also per channel. That pricing is cheap for one or two channels and adds up past that, so pick it over Publer for a small, focused set of accounts.

  • Per-channel billing model means solo creators and small businesses only pay for the accounts they actually connect, not a bloated seat-based tier.
  • Covers 11 social media networks, giving broad platform support for most small business and creator use cases.
  • Per-channel pricing becomes expensive and complicated for agencies managing 20 or more client accounts.

#9SocialBee: Best for evergreen content queues built from your website

Bootstrap gives 5 social profiles, one user, 10 content categories and three months of analytics, with a 14-day trial and no card. The AI Copilot builds a strategy and content queues from your website, and categories make evergreen recycling easy. CSV bulk scheduling waits for Accelerate and no plan includes competitor analysis. Pick it over ContentStudio for evergreen queues rather than AI media.

  • The evergreen content recycling system automatically rotates older posts back into the schedule, making it genuinely useful for solo operators and small teams without a dedicated content team.
  • The Copilot AI assistant reads your website, asks onboarding questions, and generates a full content strategy with categories and draft posts.
  • Bulk scheduling via CSV upload is locked behind the Accelerate and Pro plans, creating a meaningful gap for users on the entry-level Bootstrap plan managing large content calendars.

#10Later: Best for influencer campaigns beside scheduling

Starter gives one social set of 8 profiles, one user, 30 posts per profile each month and 5 AI credits, after a 14-day trial. The post cap and credit count are the squeeze, and Growth is where approvals, a social inbox and 50 credits begin. Pick it over Buffer for influencer campaigns and its Mavely affiliate tie-in, and skip it if you post daily.

  • The visual drag-and-drop content calendar is intuitive and works reliably for planning social media posts.
  • Smart scheduling recommends optimal posting times based on each account's historical engagement data.
  • The Starter plan caps users at only 30 posts per profile per month, which is too restrictive for active social media managers.

#11Ocoya: Best for DM chatbots and comment-to-DM automation

Ocoya homepage

Bronze offers one workspace, one user, 5 social profiles and 100 credits a month, with a 7-day trial and no free plan. Its draw is automation: DM chatbots and comment-to-DM agents sit beside AI content and scheduling. Deep audience analytics are absent, and Silver is the next step for more profiles and users. Pick it over SocialBee when DM automation is part of the plan.

  • AI workflow automations allow you to build agents that post automatically, respond to DMs via chatbot, and trigger DM responses based on comment activity.
  • Supports over 25 languages through its proprietary GPT-based model, making it viable for international teams and multilingual campaigns.
  • Deep audience analytics are absent, leaving users without the insights needed for data-driven strategy at scale.

#12FeedHive: Best for AI automation wired to agents

Creator covers four social accounts, 30 scheduled posts and scheduling only 14 days ahead, with a 7-day trial and no free plan. Brand extends that to 10 accounts, 500 posts and 60 days ahead. Its agentic automations and MCP server are aimed at technical users. Pick it over Ocoya for AI you connect to agents, and skip it if you only want a plain calendar.

  • Genuine AI integration goes beyond basic scheduling, including a proprietary AI writing assistant and agentic workflows that can operate autonomously.
  • Supports publishing across ten social media platforms, giving broad coverage for creators and agencies.
  • Scheduling window is artificially capped by plan tier. Creator plan limits scheduling to just 14 days, which most competitors do not restrict at all.

#13Plann: Best for Instagram-led creators needing caption help

Power User replaces the free plan's Instagram-only limit with unlimited scheduling across all platforms, the full AI suite and a strategy builder, for one brand and one user. • Visual drag-and-drop content calendar makes it easy to see and rearrange your Instagram grid weeks in advance.
  • AI caption generation paired with 1,000+ templates significantly reduces time spent writing post copy.
  • Free plan is severely limited to one brand, one user, Instagram only, and 30 AI credits, unsuitable for any real posting volume.

Its edge is Instagram hashtag research and performance tracking alongside the Iris assistant, across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Unlimited scheduled and tracked posts come with Pro. Pick it over Plann for hashtag intelligence.

  • Advanced hashtag research tooling goes far beyond generic schedulers, including performance filters, banned hashtag checking, a randomizer, Collections, and CSV export.
  • Hashtag Tracker allows users to monitor hashtag performance over time, a feature rarely found at comparable price points in tools like Buffer or Later.
  • Scheduling and analytics feel like bolt-on additions rather than deeply integrated features built from the ground up.

  • Circleboom holds official X Enterprise Developer status, giving it API access and capabilities that most third-party Twitter tools lack.
  • The Twitter/X management tool offers deep follower and following analysis, account health metrics, and advanced competitor research via X Smart Account Search.
  • Analytics are largely confined to the Twitter tool rather than Publish, creating a structural gap for users who want cross-platform performance data in one place.

Pick it over vidIQ when YouTube is your whole business and you work inside Studio.

  • Keyword Explorer helps creators find topics with real searchable volume and lower competition directly within YouTube's interface.
  • SEO Studio scores titles and descriptions in real time and provides actionable suggestions without leaving YouTube Studio.
  • A/B thumbnail testing, one of the most valuable features, is locked behind higher-priced subscription tiers.

#18Tailwindapp: Best for Pinterest scheduling and pin design

How to choose an AI social media tool under $30 a month

Under this price, social tools charge in very different units: per channel, per brand, per AI credit, per scheduled post. That is why two plans with similar prices can feel nothing alike once a month of posting is underway. This guide separates the jobs on the page, shows what each entry plan counts, and points creators, managers and small brands to a plan that fits how they publish.

Start with the job, not the tool

Five jobs cover most of what these tools are bought for, and each plan is built around one of them.

  • Scheduling across networks. Putting posts in a queue instead of publishing each by hand. Buffer, Publer, Metricool, SocialBee, Later and Circleboom lean this way, and ContentStudio, FeedHive and Ocoya add AI content on top.
  • Writing and growing a personal brand. Hypefury is aimed at personal brands on Bluesky, LinkedIn, Instagram and Threads, with autoplugs that post a first comment for you. Tweet Hunter is built only for X accounts. Re-engage turns a YouTube link or article into LinkedIn posts and threads, and does not schedule them.
  • Growing a video or pin channel. TubeBuddy and vidIQ sit inside YouTube, while Tailwind serves Pinterest.
  • Creating with AI credits. ContentStudio, Ocoya, FeedHive and Later all sell AI as a monthly credit pot, in very different sizes.
  • Instagram and hashtags. Plann plans the Instagram grid with AI captions, and Flick adds hashtag research and tracking.

Decide which of these you pay for most often, and the table below narrows the field.

Job Start with Runner-up and the trade-off
Cheapest real scheduling Publer Buffer bills per channel, which is cheaper for one account and dearer for five
Manage a handful of brands Metricool SocialBee gives 5 profiles and category-based recycling, but one user
Grow a personal brand Hypefury Tweet Hunter goes deeper on X and offers nothing for other networks
AI content in volume ContentStudio FeedHive Creator costs less and adds 2,500 AI credits with 30 scheduled posts
Find YouTube topics vidIQ TubeBuddy's Pro plan scores titles and tags but holds back A/B thumbnails
Instagram hashtags Flick Plann is stronger at the visual calendar and has a free plan

What the price actually buys

At this price you are buying a unit, so look at which unit each plan gives you.

  • Schedulers. Publer Professional gives unlimited scheduling, drafts and workspaces, plus X integration, and holds analytics for Business. Buffer Essentials is billed per channel with unlimited posts, advanced analytics and a hashtag manager. Metricool Starter covers up to 5 brands with unlimited publishing. SocialBee Bootstrap gives 5 profiles and up to 3 months of analytics, and Circleboom Pro gives 5 social accounts.
  • AI content tools. ContentStudio Standard gives 5 accounts, 1 user and 25,000 AI text credits, along with 25 image and 100 video credits. Ocoya Bronze gives 5 profiles and 100 credits. FeedHive Creator gives 4 accounts and 2,500 AI credits with 30 scheduled posts. Later Starter gives 8 profiles on one social set, 30 posts per profile a month and 5 AI credits.
  • Personal brand tools. Hypefury Essentials covers 1 channel with unlimited scheduling and an AI generator trained on your own posts. Tweet Hunter Discover covers 1 X account, a library of more than 12 million viral tweets, evergreen tweets and 3,000 auto-DMs a month. Re-engage Standard gives 80 credits, where one credit covers a thread, a long post or three short posts.
  • Channel growth tools. vidIQ Boost gives 2,000 AI credits, thumbnails and unlimited trend research. TubeBuddy Pro covers title and tag optimization and Shorts linking. Tailwind Pro gives 150 posts and 150 credits for a single Pinterest account.

Which tool fits which social media user

  • Solo creators building a personal brand. Start with Hypefury, because one channel, unlimited scheduling and AI trained on your own posts suit a single voice. Add Re-engage when you have a video or article to turn into posts.
  • X specialists. Start with Tweet Hunter, because the viral library and evergreen tweets are built around one network. It has no support for other platforms, so pair it with Buffer if you want to post elsewhere.
  • YouTube creators. Start with vidIQ for credits, trend research and ideas, and add TubeBuddy Pro when you want title and tag scoring inside YouTube Studio.
  • Instagram creators. Start with Plann Power User for unlimited scheduling and the full AI suite on one brand, and add Flick when hashtags decide your reach, since hashtag research and tracking are its strength and its Solo plan covers 4 profiles.
  • Managers running several brands. Start with Metricool Starter, because 5 brands and unlimited analytics history make monthly reporting straightforward. Add SocialBee if you want evergreen recycling by content category.
  • Small brands on a tight budget. Start with Publer Professional for unlimited scheduling across networks, and add Buffer for a single extra channel at a small per-channel price.

Where the entry plans stop

Limit Tools What happens at the edge
Posts per profile or social Later (30 a month), Flick (30 per social), FeedHive (30 scheduled) Scheduling stops until the next month or a bigger plan
AI credits Later (5), Re-engage (80), Ocoya (100), FeedHive (2,500), vidIQ (2,000) Generating waits for the new month
Accounts or profiles Hypefury (1 channel), Tweet Hunter (1 X account), FeedHive and Flick (4), Metricool, ContentStudio, SocialBee, Ocoya and Circleboom (5) More profiles mean the next plan up
Users ContentStudio, SocialBee, Later (1 user each) A second person needs a higher tier
Scheduling window FeedHive Creator (14 days ahead) You cannot queue further out than the window

Add up your real needs before comparing prices. Someone with six channels will find that five profiles on Metricool, SocialBee or ContentStudio does not fit, while per-channel billing at Buffer scales exactly with the accounts used. Anyone who posts daily will hit Later's 30 posts per profile before the month is over.

What the cheapest plan leaves out

Entry plans hold back the features teams use. Bulk scheduling begins at ContentStudio Advanced, SocialBee Accelerate, Later Growth and Circleboom's Medium plan. Approvals begin at SocialBee Accelerate, Later Growth and Buffer Team. ContentStudio lists competitor tracking on Facebook and Instagram from Advanced, and Publer holds reports, posting-time hints and competitor tracking for Business.

What gets left out also depends on the network. Tweet Hunter is X only, Tailwind is Pinterest only and Re-engage has no scheduling or analytics, so any of them will need a partner for the rest of your posting.

Mistakes to avoid

  1. Comparing price without the unit. Buffer charges per channel, while Metricool prices by how many brands you manage. Multiply by the accounts you actually run before you compare.
  2. Buying Later Starter for volume. Its limits are 30 posts per profile a month and 5 AI credits, which a working manager will meet quickly.
  3. Paying for Re-engage as a scheduler. It converts content into posts and offers no scheduling or analytics. Plan to add a scheduler.
  4. Expecting analytics at Publer's lowest paid price. Professional covers scheduling and workspaces, and analytics start at Business.
  5. Taking Tweet Hunter for a multi-network tool. It manages X only. If you post on LinkedIn or Instagram as well, choose a scheduler that covers them.

When to move up a plan

The sign is spending your time working around a cap: dropping a profile, holding a post back, or building reports by hand.

If you are Upgrade to What changes
Scheduling on Publer and needing reports Publer Business Unlimited AI prompts, plus reports, posting-time hints and rival tracking
A manager with growing clients Metricool Advanced Team and client management, role management and post approval
An agency of two or three SocialBee Accelerate 10 profiles, advanced analytics up to 2 years, bulk editor and approval
A creator in volume FeedHive Brand 10 accounts, 10,000 AI credits, 500 scheduled posts and 60 days ahead
An X creator Tweet Hunter Grow 5 X accounts, an AI writer and an X CRM
A brand using AI output daily ContentStudio Advanced 10 accounts, 2 users and 50,000 AI text credits

Trials differ more than plans. Hypefury, ContentStudio, Ocoya, Flick, FeedHive, Tweet Hunter and Plann offer 7 days, and Buffer, SocialBee, Later and Circleboom offer 14. Hypefury, ContentStudio and SocialBee state that no card is needed. SocialBee lowers its Bootstrap price when billed annually, and Buffer lists two months saved on yearly billing. Several tools here also have a free plan, including Buffer, Publer, Metricool and Plann, so test one of those before paying.

Using two budget tools together

A specialist and a general scheduler cover more together than either does alone for the same money.

  1. Create posts from a video or article in Re-engage, or draft them in Hypefury.
  2. Schedule the posts in Publer Professional or Buffer, which handle many networks.
  3. Measure with Metricool's analytics, since Publer keeps its reports for the Business plan.

A second pairing suits channel growth: choose topics and titles in vidIQ or TubeBuddy, then queue the promotional posts for each upload in your scheduler.

How we picked

Every tool here is ranked by its score, and each score is worked out from the vendor’s own published pages: pricing, plans, features and terms. No score is adjusted by hand. All 18 tools have enough published facts to be scored, and on average 97% of each score comes from facts the vendor publishes. The facts behind these scores were checked between 16 September 2026 and 31 October 2026.

Scores compare tools that do the same job, which is why the list is grouped by job: a video editor and a grammar checker are never ranked against each other.

Common questions

Which cheap AI social media tool has the most AI credits?

ContentStudio Standard lists 25,000 AI text credits, 25 image credits, 100 video credits and 100 clipping credits. Ocoya Bronze counts 100 credits in one pot, Re-engage Standard counts 80 credits where one covers a thread or three short posts, and Later Starter has 5. The units differ, so compare what a credit buys, not the number.

Is there a cheap AI tool for growing on X?

Tweet Hunter Discover is X only and adds a viral tweet library and Auto-DMs. Circleboom is an official X developer, so its account management goes deeper, and it schedules for other networks too. Re-engage turns videos and articles into posts for X and LinkedIn but cannot schedule. Hypefury leans on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads and Bluesky instead.

Which cheap social media plans give a trial with no credit card?

ContentStudio, SocialBee and Hypefury state that no card is needed for their trials. SocialBee gives 14 days, the other two give 7. Later, Buffer and Circleboom also offer 14-day trials. Plann's Plann Plus trial runs 7 days. A card-free trial lets you test a full week of real posts before deciding.

Is per-channel or per-profile pricing cheaper for social media tools?

Count your channels first. Buffer prices per channel, so one or two channels are inexpensive and ten are not. Later sells a social set of 8 profiles, Flick and FeedHive bundle four accounts, and Plann charges per brand. A bundle wins when you use every slot, and per-channel pricing wins when you use only a few.

How far ahead can I schedule on a cheap plan?

It depends on the tool. FeedHive Creator schedules 14 days ahead and Brand 60, while Business lists unlimited scheduling. Later Starter allows 30 posts per profile a month, Flick Solo 30 per social, and Buffer Essentials and Publer Professional list unlimited posting. For long campaign calendars, those last two are the safer choice.

Which cheap social media plans include approval flows?

Approvals mostly arrive a tier up: Buffer Team, Plann Build, Later Growth, SocialBee Accelerate, FeedHive Business and Metricool Advanced all list them. The entry plans of Hypefury and Tweet Hunter are built for one person and carry none. If a client signs off on every post, price the approval tier from the start.

Is annual billing worth it on an AI social media tool?

Where a figure is listed it is real money: SocialBee's Bootstrap plan falls from $29 to $24.20 a month billed yearly, and Buffer's paid plans list two months saved. Take a monthly plan first if you are still comparing, because most tools here give a 7 or 14-day trial first.
