Research-based review. Features and prices are checked on the vendor's own website, and the score is worked out from those facts. We haven't tested it hands-on yet.

The verdict

Worth paying for if you post to many networks and want queues, recycling and AI-assisted scheduling, but teams and the shared inbox only arrive on the pricier Growth plan.

Pros

  • All 12 networks, including Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads and Reddit, are on every plan, the free one included.
  • Queues, post recycling and CSV bulk import keep a publishing calendar full with little manual work.
  • An MCP server and ChatGPT plugin let assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT draft and schedule posts, from Starter up.
  • The free plan never expires and comes with 60 AI writer credits.

Cons

  • Starter is a single-user plan; teams, the social inbox and advanced reporting start on Growth.
  • The free plan allows only 10 posts in total, not per month.
  • The AI writes post text only, with no image or video creation and no saved brand voice.

How the Spec Score works

Scored from what SocialBu publishes on its own site. Not a hands-on test.

Compared with 19 AI social media management tools. Facts checked 31 Oct 2026.

A fact the vendor does not publish gets half the points, or the typical value for a number, and says so. It never counts as a no. How we score.

SocialBu is a social media scheduler that publishes, queues and recycles posts across 12 networks, with an AI writer, a shared inbox and social listening on top. Whether it suits you comes down to how many accounts you run and whether you need a team, since teams, the inbox and advanced reporting start on the Growth plan.

What is SocialBu?

SocialBu is made by Glaxosoft LLC, based in Lewes, Delaware, in the United States. It runs as a web app, with mobile apps for iOS and Android and a Chrome extension for scheduling posts from the browser.

The tool covers the whole publishing loop: planning posts in a calendar, writing them with AI help, answering comments and messages, tracking mentions and reading the results. Each plan is a flat monthly price with a set number of social accounts and posts.

Publishing with SocialBu

SocialBu posts to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Google Business Profile and Reddit. All 12 networks are on every plan, including Free. There is no Snapchat.

Scheduled posts from your connected accounts sit together in one publishing calendar. You can add posts to a queue with a weekly or monthly schedule, recycle posts, and upload a prepared batch from a CSV file, with Bulk Import on every plan. Posting times are set by you or by those queue schedules; there are no best-time suggestions. A first comment can be added to LinkedIn and Instagram posts on every plan.

The AI writer drafts X posts, LinkedIn updates, Instagram captions and other short posts, and composer autocomplete matches the post you are writing. It follows the tone you ask for in each prompt; there is no saved brand voice profile. Every plan comes with AI writer credits: 60 on Free and 500 on Starter. On Growth and Agency, the AI can also turn a curated article into a ready-to-edit post. The AI writes text only: there is no AI image or video creation in the app, and videos are uploaded and scheduled.

Post Approvals are on every plan, so a draft can wait for another person to check it, and Content Approvals for teams come on Growth and Agency. The social inbox brings messages, comments, replies and reviews from your connected accounts into one place, on Growth and Agency only. Social listening tracks brand mentions, competitor chatter, product questions and buying signals, with 1 listening stream and 100 matched items a month on Starter.

Rule-based automations handle RSS posting and auto replies. Analytics cover content, account, network and team performance, with basic analytics on every plan and Advanced Reporting on Growth and Agency. Reports cover your own connected accounts only, and charts download as PDF, PNG or JPEG; there are no white-label reports. There is no ads management, no influencer search and no link-in-bio page; Growth and Agency include a link shortener.

Working with other people

Teams start on Growth, with 5 teams and 4 team members, and Agency allows 20 teams. Each team groups the relevant accounts and members, so people see only the brands they are responsible for, and you choose each member's permissions for posts, approvals, queues, accounts and reports.

A REST API and an MCP server are on Starter and up. SocialBu has no AI agent of its own, but the MCP server and a ChatGPT plugin let assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor create drafts and schedule posts. Media can be pulled in from Google Drive.

SocialBu pricing: what each plan gives

SocialBu pricing screenshot
SocialBu, Pricing

The free plan does not expire. It allows 3 connected accounts, 10 posts in total rather than per month, 60 AI writer credits and 1 custom queue, with no teams, automations or listening. Starter, Growth and Agency each start with a 7-day free trial.

Starter is $29 a month, or $22 a month billed yearly ($261 a year), for 8 social accounts and 750 posts a month. It is a single-user plan with no teams and no social inbox. Growth is $79 a month, or $59 a month billed yearly ($711 a year), for 20 accounts, and adds teams, the inbox and Advanced Reporting. Agency is $199 a month, or $149 a month billed yearly ($1,791 a year), for 50 accounts, and adds phone support. Custom plans are available on request.

Privacy and security

SocialBu's privacy policy sets out your data protection rights under the GDPR and names a GDPR Data Protection Officer. Data is protected with encryption and secure infrastructure, and AI requests are sent to OpenAI, Stability AI and Replicate. There is no SOC 2 report and no single sign-on.

Help articles and the community are open on every plan. Email and live chat support start on Starter, and phone support is on Agency only.

Who SocialBu suits

SocialBu suits small businesses, freelancers and agencies that post across many networks, including Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads and Reddit, and want queues, recycling and CSV imports to keep a calendar full. Agencies get separate teams per brand, approvals and a shared inbox from Growth, and anyone who works through an AI assistant can schedule posts through the MCP server.

It suits less well a team on a tight budget, since Starter is a single-user plan and the inbox and teams need Growth. Anyone who wants AI images or video, best-time suggestions, a saved brand voice or white-label client reports will not find them here.
