Meshy is an AI 3D model generator that turns text, one image or several views of an object into a textured model, then remeshes, rigs and animates it. Whether it suits you comes down to credits and licence: the free plan gives 100 credits a month under a CC BY 4.0 licence, while the paid plans add private assets, multi-view input, remeshing, the API and plugins.

What is Meshy?
Meshy runs in the browser, with free apps for iOS and Android. It is aimed at game developers, 3D printing and XR creators who want textured models quickly. The free plan includes monthly downloads from Meshy 6 Lite.
Finished work can be published to the Meshy community if you choose, and publishing is optional. Paid plans carry a private licence for all assets, so what you generate there stays yours and out of the public feed unless you share it.
Making 3D models with Meshy
Meshy generates models from a text prompt, from one image, or from several images of the same object taken from different views. Multi-view image to 3D is on the paid plans. AI texturing paints a model, with the option to generate PBR maps (metallic, roughness and normal) as well as the base colour, and paid plans add AI texture editing.
For topology, the remesh tool rebuilds a model as a quad-dominant mesh or a decimated triangle mesh, and remeshing is a paid-plan feature. You set a target polygon count anywhere from 100 to 300,000 faces.
Rigging and animation are built in. Meshy rigs a character and applies motions from a library of more than 600 animations, unlimited on paid plans and 20 on the free plan.
Models download as GLB, FBX, OBJ, USDZ, STL, BLEND or 3MF, and glTF files can be uploaded. On paid plans, the DCC Bridge connects Meshy to Roblox, Blender, Godot, Unity, Unreal, Maya and 3ds Max, and slicer plugins send models to Bambu Studio, Creality Print, OrcaSlicer and Cura for 3D printing.
Working with other people
The Studio plan is built for teams, with one pool of credits shared across the team. Meshy also offers an API, with access starting on the Pro plan, and an Enterprise plan with custom pricing.
Meshy pricing: what each plan gives

The free plan needs no credit card. It gives 100 credits a month, enough for up to 10 assets, 10 Meshy 6 Lite downloads a month, one task at a time with low queue priority, basic AI features and 20 animations. Free models carry a CC BY 4.0 licence, which allows commercial use as long as you credit Meshy. Multi-view image to 3D, remeshing, AI texture editing and the API are not on the free plan.
Pro costs $20 a month, or $16 a month billed yearly at $192, with 1,000 credits a month for up to 100 assets. Premium costs $40 a month, or $32 billed yearly at $384, with 3,000 credits for up to 300 assets. Ultra costs $100 a month, or $80 billed yearly at $960, with 8,000 credits for up to 800 assets.
Studio costs $70 a month for a team, with 5,500 credits a month shared across it. Extra credit packs are sold separately, and Enterprise is priced on request.
Privacy and security
Meshy can train on your work unless you opt out. Its terms read that Meshy "may use Customer Inputs and Customer Outputs" from non-Enterprise customers "to train, validate, test, or improve Services". You opt out by emailing support@meshy.ai, and Enterprise content is not used.
For GDPR purposes, Meshy is the data controller. Support runs through Discord for everyone, with live chat and email on paid plans and a help center.
Who Meshy suits
Meshy suits game, 3D printing and XR creators who want textured models fast, with rigging, animation, quad remeshing and polycount control in the same place. The plugins for game engines, 3D tools and slicers make it practical to bring a model straight into an existing workflow.
It suits less well anyone who wants to use free models without crediting Meshy, since the free plan's licence is CC BY 4.0. Anyone who does not want their work used for training needs to email to opt out unless they are on Enterprise, and the free plan leaves out multi-view input, remeshing and the plugins.
