Keywordly Review

As a content optimiser, Keywordly runs keyword research, clusters and AI article generation with internal links inserted automatically as it writes. There is a trial but no free plan.

Research-based review. Features and prices are checked on the vendor's own website, and the score is worked out from those facts. We haven't tested it hands-on yet.

The verdict

Worth it for solo creators who want research, clustering and drafting in one subscription with auto-inserted internal links; support stays priority-only below the top plans.

Pros

  • Offers an end-to-end SEO content workflow covering keyword research, AI writing, and auto-publishing in a single platform.
  • AI brand visibility tracking across ChatGPT and Perplexity is a genuinely differentiated feature most competitors don't offer yet.
  • Includes People Also Ask data and question-based keyword mining through their 'Answer The People' feature.
  • Integrates Reddit and Quora data for content ideation, adding real-world topic discovery beyond standard keyword tools.
  • Covers both PPC and organic keyword research with volume, difficulty, and intent metrics included.
  • Topical map generation with strategic interlinking support helps users build content clusters systematically.
  • Auto-pilot publishing to CMS reduces the manual steps between content creation and going live.

Cons

  • No backlink analysis is available, leaving a significant gap compared to more established SEO platforms.
  • Google Search Console integration is not mentioned publicly, limiting data connectivity for existing SEO workflows.
  • API access is listed as 'coming soon' on the Agency plan, which already costs $249 per month — a poor value proposition for that tier.
  • SERP-based keyword clustering is locked behind the $99 Team plan, restricting a core feature from entry-level subscribers.
  • The tool launched in October 2024 with an unusually long feature list, raising concerns about execution quality across all claims.
  • No Chrome extension or desktop app exists, limiting flexibility for users who work across multiple tools simultaneously.
  • With only 300+ active users at launch and no disclosed funding or headquarters, the product's long-term stability is uncertain.

Competitor analysis: Keyword gap analysis; pricing lists 'Organic Research' on all plans.

Backlink analysis: No backlink feature on pricing or any feature page. The only backlink wording sits in a shared promo block that names a different product ('Indexly's powerful backlink intelligence'), so it is not counted.

How the Spec Score works

Scored from what Keywordly publishes on its own site. Not a hands-on test.

Compared with 14 content optimisers. Facts checked 13 Sep 2026.

A fact the vendor does not publish gets half the points, or the typical value for a number, and says so. It never counts as a no. How we score.

Our research on Keywordly started where it usually does: vendor docs and whatever user chatter we could surface. This Keywordly review is built from that aggregation, not hands-on testing. What we kept seeing was a tool launched in October 2024, sitting somewhere between "promising early-stage product" and "not quite ready to compete with the big names," and asking between $49 and $249 a month for the privilege. We'll get to whether that's fair.

Keywordly, Homepage

What is Keywordly?

Late 2024 launch. Keywordly pitches itself as an end-to-end SEO content platform covering keyword research, AI article generation, auto-publishing to CMS, and something they call AI brand visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode. That last part is genuinely interesting. Most tools don't touch it yet.

The vendor's homepage currently claims 1,000+ SEOs, agencies, and businesses trust the platform, while another page says 300+ content teams. A third-party profile reported that Keywordly grew to 300+ active users following its October 2024 launch, which is a different claim than having that many at launch. The distinction matters. It's a web-only tool, no Chrome extension, no desktop app. Headquarters unknown. Funding not disclosed.

It positions itself against NEURONwriter, Frase, and Koala. The core argument is that you shouldn't need four separate subscriptions to go from keyword research to a published article. That's the bet they're making.

Keywordly Features: SEO & Content Tools Breakdown

Keywordly features screenshot
Keywordly, Features

The feature list on the homepage is long. Maybe too long for a product this young. Keyword research and SERP analysis sit next to AI writing, rank tracking for Google and Bing, topical maps with what they call strategic interlinking, and Reddit and Quora integration for content ideation. Auto-pilot publishing rounds it out.

No backlink analysis. No Google Search Console integration, at least none they mention publicly. No Chrome extension. API access is listed as "coming soon" on the Agency plan, which is a rough ask at $249 a month.

We're skeptical of any product that leads with twelve features at twelve months old. Not everything can be good yet. Not even close.

Keywordly Keyword Research: How Deep Does It Go?

The keyword research side covers PPC and organic research. It pulls People Also Ask data and offers something they call "Answer The People," which appears to be their take on question-based keyword mining. Volume, difficulty, and intent all show up in results.

SERP-based keyword clustering is available, but only on the Team plan at $99 a month. That tier sits between Solo at $49 and Business at $149. Competitor SERP analysis looks at the top five results and surfaces word counts and header structures.

Honestly, none of that is novel. Frase does it. Scalenut does it. What matters is how accurate the underlying data is, and we couldn't find any independent validation. No G2 presence. No Capterra score. No Trustpilot footprint. That gap kept coming up in our research, and it's not a small one.

Keywordly Content Creation: AI Writing Quality Tested

Articles up to 4,200+ words, per the vendor. The AI editor supports unlimited rewrites, section-level editing, and has internal and external linking built in alongside image placement. Brand voice matching is listed. Language support covers 20+ on the Solo plan, and all languages on higher tiers.

We cross-referenced their docs with the few user comments we could surface. The auto-blogging workflow, where the tool pushes content directly to WordPress without a human review step, attracted the most attention from users. Some liked the speed. Others were clearly nervous about publishing AI content at volume without a final check. That's a reasonable concern, not unique to Keywordly.

The GEO optimization angle, meaning optimizing content to appear in AI-generated search results from ChatGPT and Perplexity, is where the real differentiator lives. Most competitors aren't building this yet. Whether it actually works is a separate question we can't answer from docs alone.

Is Keywordly Easy to Use?

No hands-on data here. What we read suggested the workflow is structured and relatively linear: research, outline, write, publish. Straightforward in theory. The updated credit system, set at 2 credits per research query as of 2025, added a layer of friction that came up in user comments. A few flagged it as an unexpected change after they'd already committed to a plan.

Support is email plus a basic FAQ section. No live chat listed. No community forum. For a tool targeting solo operators and small agencies, that's thin. We've seen worse, but not by much.

Keywordly Pricing: Is It Worth It vs Free Alternatives?

Keywordly pricing screenshot
Keywordly, Pricing

The 3-day free trial is the only way in before paying. No free plan. The cancellation policy says no refunds, which is a problem, full stop.

Solo at $49 a month gets the basics but locks out keyword clustering and auto-publishing. Business at $149 is where the tool starts feeling more complete. Agency at $249 is the top tier, and the API still isn't live at that price point.

We don't buy the Agency pricing at this stage of the product. The value isn't there until the API ships and an actual review trail grows. That's our position and we're holding it.

Keywordly vs SurferSEO: Head-to-Head Comparison

SurferSEO has years of data, a large documented user base, and a well-established track record. Keywordly has the GEO tracking angle that SurferSEO doesn't touch. That's the honest version of this comparison.

SurferSEO's content editor is more refined. Its NLP scoring has been validated across thousands of users. Keywordly's AI article generation and auto-publishing are more ambitious on paper. The SearchAtlas comparison is probably more fair given both tools try to bundle research and writing together, but SearchAtlas is further along in development and has visible public reviews.

For Keywordly vs SurferSEO, we'd lean SurferSEO for anyone who needs confidence in their content scoring. Keywordly might be worth watching if the GEO features mature and hold up under scrutiny.

Who Should Use Keywordly? (And Who Shouldn't)

Solopreneurs wanting a single tool from keyword to published post. That's the fit. The $49 Solo plan is low enough to experiment without real pain.

Agencies wanting to bill this to clients? Not yet. The missing API, thin support infrastructure, and absent public review trail make it hard to stake client work on at this stage.

Keywordly Review Verdict

Keywordly is a real product. Not vaporware. The GEO and AI visibility tracking is a genuinely forward-looking feature, and the all-in-one workflow from research to auto-published article is coherent in a way that most competitors haven't bothered to attempt. That matters.

The problem is that "coherent workflow" isn't the same as "proven workflow." No public review data on G2 or Capterra. No refunds, per the cancellation policy. API access is promised but not delivered. The pricing on higher tiers doesn't yet reflect the product's actual maturity.

Give it six months and check again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Keywordly have a free plan?

No free plan exists. There's a 3-day free trial on all plans, which gives you enough time to poke around but probably not enough to evaluate AI writing quality at any real depth. Three days is short. It is.

What CMS platforms does Keywordly support?

WordPress auto-publishing is confirmed. The pricing FAQ also names Ghost CMS, but specifics beyond those two aren't clearly documented anywhere we could find. Auto-publishing is gated to the Team plan and above, so Solo users at $49 a month don't get it at all.

How does Keywordly's AI brand visibility tracking work?

The feature tracks how a brand appears in responses from AI search tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, and also monitors Google AI Mode. It's the most distinctive thing on the platform. Whether the underlying data is reliable enough to act on remains an open question, given the absence of independent user reviews validating it.
