How the Spec Score works

Scored from what Aragon publishes on its own site. Not a hands-on test.

Compared with 5 AI headshot generators. Facts checked 31 Oct 2026.

A fact the vendor does not publish gets half the points, or the typical value for a number, and says so. It never counts as a no. How we score.

Aragon is an AI headshot service: you choose outfits and backgrounds, upload a few selfies and get back a set of 40 to 100 professional headshots within 15 to 45 minutes. What decides whether it suits you is how many headshots, styles and pixels you need, since the package you buy sets all three, and whether you are ordering for yourself or rolling headshots out across a company.

What is Aragon?

Aragon is a US company, and its headshot service runs in the browser. Alongside the one-time headshot packages it sells monthly subscriptions to a wider AI photo generator and editor, so the same account can cover a single headshot order or ongoing photo work.

Every Aragon account also comes with a free headshot generator. Its results are lower quality than the paid packages, and it is meant as a way to see the service before buying a full set.

Getting your headshots from Aragon

You start by uploading a few photos of yourself, and selfies work. You then choose what you want to wear and what stands behind you, and the package sets how many choices you get: Basic includes 1 attire and 1 background, Standard 2 attires and 2 backgrounds, and Executive every attire and background Aragon offers.

Basic delivers 40 headshots, Standard 60 and Executive 100. Delivery gets faster as the package grows: Basic takes 45 minutes, Standard 30 minutes and Executive 15 minutes. Output size also rises with the top package. Basic and Standard headshots come out at 896 x 1088 pixels, and Executive raises that to 1792 x 2176 pixels.

If you are unhappy with the results, Aragon regenerates your photos at no extra cost. When a set falls short, it offers either that free redo or a 100% refund, with refund requests accepted within 14 days. Downloading your photos counts as using them, which can rule out a refund, so it pays to decide before you download.

The headshots are yours to use for personal or commercial purposes, so the same set can go on a profile, a company website or printed material.

Aragon for teams

Team plans add an admin dashboard where you invite team members by link or email. Each team member gets 1 free edit, and the team can have up to 1 custom background so the whole company matches. Team credits are bought in bulk at up to 20% off, and team plans include single sign-on.

For larger rollouts, the Teams API syncs team members, exports finished headshots and automates onboarding flows, so new staff can get their headshots without manual setup. Aragon also connects to Zapier.

Aragon pricing: what each plan gives

Aragon, Pricing

Headshot packages are one-time payments with no subscription. Basic costs $44 at list price for 40 headshots with 1 attire and 1 background, delivered in 45 minutes. Standard costs $56 for 60 headshots with 2 attires and 2 backgrounds, delivered in 30 minutes. Executive costs $94 for 100 headshots with every attire and background and the higher resolution, delivered in 15 minutes. A limited-time 20% off offer currently brings the three to $35, $45 and $75.

The AI photo generator and editor are sold separately as monthly subscriptions: Aragon Lite at $15 a month, Aragon Pro at $29, Aragon Ultimate at $49 and Aragon Creator at $249. For companies, team credits come in bulk at up to 20% off, and Teams Pro is priced on request.

The free headshot generator comes with every account. Free generations are limited and run through a waitlist that can be paused or delayed when demand is high.

Privacy and security

Aragon permanently deletes or anonymises your face data within 30 days of delivering your headshots. Face data of active subscribers may be kept longer, and team plans can set their own retention period.

Aragon is SOC 2 Type II certified. People in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland have the rights set out under the GDPR in its privacy policy. Support runs by email and through a chat box, with live agents working from 7am to 11pm Pacific time, Sunday through Thursday.

Who Aragon suits

Aragon suits professionals who want a polished set of headshots quickly and would rather pay once than subscribe, especially those who want plenty of variety: Executive brings 100 headshots in every attire and background, at the higher resolution, in 15 minutes. Companies get an admin dashboard, single sign-on, bulk credits and an API for onboarding new staff, backed by SOC 2 Type II certification.

It suits less well anyone who wants large prints from the cheaper packages, since Basic and Standard deliver 896 x 1088 pixel images. Basic's single attire and single background leave little choice, and anyone who downloads first and decides later may find that a refund is no longer possible.
