VanceAI is a suite of AI image and video tools, covering upscaling, sharpening, denoising, photo restoration and video upscaling, sold as web credit plans. It also sells VanceAI for PC, a Windows app with unlimited local processing on a monthly, yearly or lifetime licence. What decides whether it suits you is whether you want to pay per image in the browser or own a desktop app that runs offline.

What is VanceAI?
VanceAI is based in Hong Kong. Its web app runs in the browser and processes images in the cloud, while VanceAI for PC runs on Windows and keeps every file on your own machine.
Developers can reach the same tools through the VanceAI API, which draws on the same credits as the web plans. A ComfyUI node and an agent skill are also offered.
The two products are sold separately. Web plans buy credits that every online tool draws on, from the upscaler to the video upscaler, while VanceAI for PC is a licence for 1 PC with no credits to count.
Upscaling with VanceAI
Online, VanceAI upscales images up to 8x. Credits scale with the enlargement: 2x costs 1 credit, 4x costs 2 and 8x costs 3. VanceAI for PC goes further, upscaling by up to 40x.
Repair tools sit next to the upscaler. The AI Image Sharpener and AI Image Denoiser cost 1 credit each, the old photo restoration tool enhances faces, eyes and hair in old photos, and a separate AI Portrait Retoucher handles face retouching.
The Video Upscaler costs from 1 credit per minute, depending on resolution, frame rate and scale.
For volume, VanceAI for PC processes unlimited photos and batches hundreds at once, and the web Creator plan is aimed at batch work. Paid web plans accept files up to 10 MB and 34 MP, while the PC app accepts images of any size.
Working with VanceAI
The API comes with a reference and quickstart guide, and its credits are shared with your web plan, so one balance covers both. The ComfyUI node brings VanceAI into that image workflow tool.
Photos edited with VanceAI, across all its services and software, may be used for non-commercial and commercial purposes.
VanceAI pricing: what each plan gives

The free tier gives 10 credits to try the AI tools, and the image compressor is free for up to 100 images a month. Free jobs wait in a queue, which paid web plans skip.
- Starter: $20 a month, or $15 a month billed annually ($180 a year), for 260 credits a month, made up of 200 plus 60 bonus.
- Popular: $40 a month, or $30 a month billed annually ($360 a year), for 650 credits a month.
- Creator: $60 a month, or $45 a month billed annually ($540 a year), for 1,300 credits a month.
- Studio: $100 a month, or $75 a month billed annually ($900 a year), for 2,600 credits a month.
- Pay as you go: 200 credits for $40, 500 for $80, 1,000 for $120 or 2,000 for $200.
At 260 credits, Starter covers 260 images at 2x, about 130 at 4x or about 86 at 8x.
VanceAI for PC is sold separately, for 1 PC: $39.90 for 1 month, $99.90 for 1 year, or $199.90 for a lifetime licence that you pay for once, currently reduced to $129.90.
Privacy and security
VanceAI does not train its AI models with customers' images without written permission. With VanceAI for PC, every file stays on your Windows PC and is processed locally; the web app processes images in the cloud.
Support runs through tickets and email at help@vanceai.com, with tickets answered within 24 hours, backed by a help centre.
Who VanceAI suits
VanceAI suits people on Windows who want offline upscaling with no per-image cost, since VanceAI for PC processes unlimited photos locally, upscales up to 40x and can be bought once with a lifetime licence. The web plans suit anyone who also wants video upscaling, sharpening, denoising and old photo restoration in one place, with credits shared with the API.
It suits less well anyone working only in the browser at high enlargements, since web upscales stop at 8x and cost 3 credits each at that size. Uploads on paid web plans are capped at 34 MP, and free jobs wait in a queue.
