Midjourney vs Recraft
Recraft scores 6.9 to Midjourney's 6.0 among the AI image generators we rate, and is the better pick for 3 of the 4 kinds of buyer below.
Recraft wins, 6.9 to 6.0
Images made on Recraft's free plan stay public and owned by Recraft; commercial rights and private generations only start on its $12 a month Basic plan. Midjourney has no free plan at all, starting instead at $10 a month. Recraft exports true vector files and removes backgrounds in one action, both missing from Midjourney, while Midjourney keeps a character consistent across images, something Recraft does not do.
Pick Midjourney if you want character consistency and don't need vector exports.
Pick Recraft if you want vector exports and background removal built in.
