What is Huntr?

Huntr runs on the web, with apps for iOS and Android and a Chrome extension. The extension clips job posts into Huntr and fills in application forms in one click, and the mobile apps save a job with one tap.

It works as a job search CRM first: the job tracker sits next to a contact tracker and an interview tracker, with the resume builder in the same account. Huntr also sells separate plans for career centres, bootcamps and coaches.

Building your resume with Huntr

The resume builder has 7 templates, all on the free plan, and you can make as many base resumes as you like. You can import a LinkedIn profile into a resume, though Huntr does not review or rewrite the profile. A finished resume downloads as PDF for free.

AI writing generates summaries, skills and achievements for a resume, unlimited on Pro and limited to a few AI credits on the free plan. AI tailoring does a full rewrite of a resume for a specific job, placing the right keywords in the right spots; the free plan includes 2 job-tailored resumes, and Pro makes tailoring unlimited.

Job matching scores a resume against a post. The free plan has basic job matching and resume scoring, and Pro adds advanced matching with full keyword visibility and matching on responsibilities and qualifications. Pro also writes unlimited AI cover letters, and the free plan includes 2 application packets.

For interviews, Huntr generates job-tailored interview questions with suggested answers and keeps an interview tracker, but it has no mock interviews. The job tracker holds up to 100 jobs on the free plan and is unlimited on Pro, and contacts are unlimited on both. Application autofill is unlimited on the free plan: the extension fills in the form, and you submit each application yourself.

Huntr pricing: what each plan gives

The free plan gives unlimited base resumes and free PDF export, all 7 templates, 2 job-tailored resumes, 2 application packets, basic job matching and resume scoring, up to 100 tracked jobs, up to 100 document uploads, unlimited contacts, unlimited application autofills and a few complimentary AI credits.

Pro is one tier with unlimited AI credits, unlimited tailoring, advanced job matching, unlimited cover letters and unlimited job tracking. It costs $40 billed each month, $90 every 3 months ($30 a month), or $160 every 6 months ($26.67 a month). There is no annual plan, no lifetime plan and no free trial. You cancel Pro yourself in account settings.

Privacy and support

Huntr does not claim ownership of the content you post through the service, so your resumes stay yours. Support runs by email.

Who Huntr suits

Huntr suits job seekers running a high-volume search who want tracking and resumes in one place, with contacts, interviews and every application kept together. The free plan is usable on its own for a smaller search, with free PDF resumes, unlimited autofill and up to 100 tracked jobs.

It suits less well anyone who wants mock interview practice or a LinkedIn profile review, as Huntr offers neither. On the free plan, tailoring stops at 2 job-tailored resumes and the AI runs on a few credits.
