Moz Pro is an SEO suite that brings keyword research, rank tracking, site crawls, link research and AI search visibility tracking into one subscription. What decides whether it suits you is how many keywords and sites you need to track, and whether weekly rank updates are frequent enough for your work.

What is Moz Pro?
Moz Pro is the main SEO subscription from Moz. It runs as a web app, and every plan includes MozBar Premium, the upgraded version of Moz's SEO extension for Chrome. Moz sells two related products separately: Moz Local, a subscription for managing local business listings, and the Moz API, which has its own pricing starting at $20.
Work in Moz Pro is organized into Campaigns. Each Campaign tracks one website plus three competitor sites, and the plan you pick sets how many Campaigns, tracked keywords and research queries you get each month.
What Moz Pro does for your SEO
Keyword research. Keyword Explorer draws on 1.25 billion keyword suggestions and 180 million ranking keywords, across 170 Google search engines (country and language versions). Its Topic Tree Map groups suggestions by topic and search intent. Monthly keyword queries are 75 on Starter, 150 on Standard, 5,000 on Medium and 15,000 on Large.
Rank tracking. Campaign rankings update automatically every week, and the schedule cannot be changed. For checks in between, the Rank Checker gives on-demand lookups: 200 queries a day on Standard and Medium, and 500 on Large. Moz Pro also tracks local keyword rankings.
Site crawls. Site Crawl runs weekly inside each Campaign and reports technical issues, with on-demand crawls from Standard up. The crawl allowance is 5,000 pages a week on Starter, 400,000 pages a month on Standard, 2 million a month on Medium and 5 million a month on Large.
Links and competitors. Link Explorer covers 45.5 trillion links, 8.7 trillion URLs and 1 billion domains. Backlink queries run to 5,000 a month on Standard, 20,000 on Medium and 70,000 on Large. Competitive Research queries are 50, 75 and 100 a month on the same three plans.
On-page and content. Page Optimization and On-Page Grader score a page out of 100 against a target keyword and give a to-do list in order of priority. AI Content Briefs export as PDF: none on Starter, 2 a month on Standard, 10 on Medium and 50 on Large. Moz Pro writes briefs, not articles, and it has no feature that suggests internal links.
AI search visibility. AI Visibility Dashboards track how a brand appears in answers from GPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode, with prompts tracked weekly. Standard includes 3 dashboards and 150 prompts, Medium 6 dashboards and 300 prompts, and Large 12 dashboards and 600 prompts. Extra prompts cost $50 per 100. This is not on Starter.
Campaigns connect to Google Analytics (GA4) for traffic data. There is no Google Search Console connection.
Working with other people
Starter and Standard include 1 user, Medium 2 users and Large 3. Extra seats cost $49 a month each on any plan. From Medium up, you can add your own logo to a custom report.
Moz Pro works in the web app and through MozBar. There is no WordPress plugin and no Google Docs add-on. Every plan comes with 24/7 support, with same-day help from a real person.
Moz Pro pricing: what each plan gives

- Starter: $49 a month, built for one website, with 1 Campaign, 50 tracked keywords and 1 user.
- Standard: $99 a month, or $79 a month billed yearly, with 3 Campaigns and 300 tracked keywords.
- Medium: $179 a month, or $143 a month billed yearly, with 10 Campaigns, 1,500 tracked keywords and 2 users.
- Large: $299 a month, or $239 a month billed yearly, with 25 Campaigns, 3,000 tracked keywords and 3 users.
- Enterprise: priced by quote.
Extra tracked keywords cost $20 a month per 200, and extra Campaigns cost $10 a month each. A free Moz Community account gives limited access to MozBar, Keyword Explorer and Link Explorer, but Campaigns and rank tracking need a paid plan. Medium comes with a 7-day free trial on monthly billing, and a credit card is required to start it.
Who Moz Pro suits
Moz Pro suits in-house marketers and small agencies who want keyword research, a large link index, weekly rank tracking and site crawls under one login, with a clear ladder of allowances. Medium raises keyword queries to 5,000 a month and tracks 1,500 keywords across 10 Campaigns, and it is also the plan with the free trial. Teams that now care about AI answers get prompt tracking on GPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode from Standard.
It suits less well anyone who needs daily rank movements, since Campaign rankings refresh weekly on a fixed schedule. Starter is thin for anything beyond one site, with no AI visibility, no content briefs and 50 tracked keywords. Writers looking for an AI article writer or a Search Console connection will not find them here.
