Descript vs VEED
Descript scores 9.0 to VEED's 7.9 among the AI video editors we rate, and is the better pick for 1 of the 4 kinds of buyer below.
Descript wins, 9.0 to 7.9
Descript and VEED sit close on price, $24 against $25 a month for the cheapest plan. Descript records each remote guest on a separate track and runs as a desktop app on Windows and Mac, neither of which VEED offers, since VEED only runs on web, iOS and Android. VEED has lip sync built in, a feature missing from Descript. Both let you edit the video from its transcript, strip filler words, remove the background, clone your voice and translate a finished video.
Pick Descript if you record remote interviews or want a native desktop app.
Pick VEED if you want lip sync and do not need remote guest recording.
